Michael Palin has paid a touching tribute to his friend and Monty Python colleague Terry Jones who has been diagnosed with dementia.
Posting a message on Facebook Palin wrote the following:
Monty Python stars Michael Palin and Terry Jones were reunited yesterday at the Museum of Comedy in Holborn. They were the guests of comedy historian Robert Ross for a special recording of his podcast Robert Ross Requests The Pleasure.
Following a screening of their 1969 Python precursor The Complete and Utter History of Britain, Palin and Jones were on good form recalling their careers together from their early meeting at Oxford through to their reunion at the O2 Arena in London last year.
John Cleese is supporting publication of his memoir, So, Anyway… with a nationwide book and theatre tour this autumn.
Sunday Sept 1, 2013. I just heard on the radio that Sir David Frost had died so googled myself to see if I'd ever interviewed him – it's easier than using one's memory these days. I hadn't but I had written about him recently when he presented this TV documentary reviewed below on the history of the sketch show.
