Underbelly Festival Southbank has announced more shows to the line-up today bringing some of the very best circus, comedy, cabaret, variety, live podcasting and family entertainment to the banks of the Thames.
Comedy names joining the bill will include The Daily Show’s UK correspondent and international stand-up sensation Gina Yashere dropping in from 21-23 June.
Underbelly has put its first batch of Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows on sale.
Following a hit 2018 Fringe, Foil, Arms and Hog, the Irish comic YouTube masters return to Edinburgh’s majestic McEwan Hall with an hour of comedy sketches in their brand-new show Swines from 31st July – 25th August at 9pm.

Underbelly are gearing up for their most ambitious Edinburgh Festival Fringe to date as a raft of top shows go on sale on Monday. The eleven top shows provide a glimpse into the 2018 programme, charting comedy stars, international circus acts and West End theatrics set to perform across Underbelly’s Fringe footprint including McEwan Hall, marking a return after a three year absence.
Underbelly Festival on London's South Bank has announced its tenth anniversary line-up, including headline shows from four countries across four different continents by some of the finest purveyors of circus in the world.
After a gap of three years Underbelly returns to McEwan Hall for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2018. Some shows there and some other shows elsewhere have just been announced.
Five spaces will be Underbelly auditoria for the duration of the Fringe, the main McEwan Hall auditorium (capacity c.900), and four smaller spaces ranging in capacity from 60 to 145. The first shows there have just been announced with more to come.
Underbelly has celebrated the end of its 18th year on the Fringe with the announcement of its biggest and best year yet with record breaking ticket sales across all its venues. Presenting 150 shows across 16 venues, tickets sales increased across the board by 17% to 291,000.

In the past three years Al Porter has progressed from playing a tiny room at the Gilded Balloon to a giant barn at the Underbelly.
In recent years audience participation shows seem to have grown in popularity, with the likes of Adam Riches and Dr Brown having award-winning hits with gigs where the ticketholder becomes co-star. This year’s big new immersive success could come from Australian comic Steen Raskopoulos.
