Tom Basden’s razor sharp adaptation of Fo’s classic farce is directed by Daniel Raggett. The production will star Daniel Rigby and Tony Gardner. Full casting will be announced soon.
Sheffield Theatres will premiere a brand-new adaptation of Dario Fo’s classic play Accidental Death of an Anarchist adapted by Tom Basden, comedian, actor and writer of the recent hit BBC comedy Here We Go.
Alison Steadman is one of the stars of BBC one-off comedy Pandemonium, alongside Katherine Parkinson and Jim Howick. Tom Basden also stars in it and also wrote it.
Tom Basden previously wrote and appeared in the hit ITV2 comedy Plebs. He was in the sketch group Cowards and often works with fellow Cowards member Tim Key,
Following writing and acting roles, Tom Basden has just announced his return to stand-up comedy, with a six night run at London’s Soho Theatre of his brand-new show Sorry Thank You Please. The show is the award-winning comic’s first full stand-up show in 10 years. The Soho Theatre performances will run from Monday 13th – Saturday 18th January 2020 and tickets are on general sale from 12pm on Friday 1st November.

TB: The show is about travel in essence, it’s about people escaping from something at home or people going out and hoping that by travelling and seeing the world they will learn something about themselves, they’ll improve their lives and find answers to some questions, or even find out what the questions that they should be asking are.
