dylan moran
When I saw Dylan Moran at the Apollo in London recently it was clear that despite rarely appearing on TV these days he still had a massive devoted following. Thanks, I'm guessing, to the enduring popularity of his uber-grumpy character Bernard Black in Black Books. So it's good to see Moran back on the box in a brand new comedy, Stuck.
Dylan Moran is currently on a UK tour but there is an extra chance to catch him in London tonight when he headlines a benefit show for mental health charity Heads Held High.
Also on the excellent bill are Rich Hall, Michelle de Swarte and Fin Taylor.
If they give national treasure titles to American comedians the masterfully grumpy Rich Hall should be well due for the honour by now. Fin Taylor is a provocative, thoughtful comic who always has a disinctive take on the current culture wars.
Brand new comedy series Stuck, written by Dylan Moran and starring Dylan Moran and Morgana Robinson, is coming to BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in 2022.
Made by Hat Trick Productions and filmed in Belfast, Stuck (5 x 15) is a sometimes dark, sometimes surreal sitcom about the relationship between Dan (Dylan Moran) and Carla (Morgana Robinson).
On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May comedy fans around the world will be able to enjoy a performance of Dylan Moran’s hilarious latest show, ‘Dr Cosmos’, from the comfort of their living rooms.
Dylan Moran, Shappi Khorsandi, Jimeoin, Nish Kumar, Rose Matafeo, Olga Koch, Kai Humphries, Javier Jarquin, Vlatko Štampar and Nikola Silić are among the acts at the first ever Comedy Fortress Festival in Croatia.
The early bird catches the worm and also Dylan Moran. One of the main comedy attractions this weekend was the acclaimed Irish comedian warming up for his forthcoming Dr Cosmos tour. The show started at 12.15pm but still attracted a packed house. It was a short set, but Moran admitted he's not the best of timekeepers so maybe it was an achievement that he turned up on time at all.
Dylan Moran has announced a brand new tour, Dr. Cosmos, which will take in 41 venues around the UK before international dates in 2019, beginning in Norwich on 3rd September 2018 and concluding at London’s Alexandra Palace on 8th December 2018. Moran will once again offer his unique take on love, politics, misery and the everyday absurdities of life, all served with poetical panache from one of the finest comedians of his generation.
The guests have been announced for this year's Greenwich Comedy Festival, which returns to the National Maritime Museum from September 13th–17th.
The line-up includes Dylan Moran, Alan Davies, Dara O Briain, Sara Pascoe, Adam Hills, Ed Byrne, Joe Lycett, David O’Doherty, Tim Key, Ellie Taylor, James Acaster, Shappi Khorsandi, Doc Brown and many more.
Due to overwhelming demand following his recent UK, Australian and South African performamces of his latest show Off The Hook, Dylan Moran has added more UK dates in 2016.
Moran has recently been gigging around the world in unusual places including Kiev, Moscow and Kazakhstan and was the first western comic to perform in St Petersburg.
Dylan Moran is a stealth superstar. At a time when comedians depend on TV to shift tickets this scruffy Irishman avoids panel games and has not done anything of enduring note since his sitcom Black Books, which finished in 2004.
