BAFTA nominated Tim Renkow (Live at the Apollo, Bobby and Harriet) is set to star in a third series of Jerk for BBC Three and iPlayer.
Jerk starring Tim Renkow, Sharon Rooney, Rob Madin and Lorraine Bracco is set to return to the BBC.
The comedy follows the life of acclaimed stand up Tim Renkow, who plays a heightened version of himself; a man who uses the fact that he has cerebral palsy to try and get away with anything.

Filming started today at locations in South East London.
Youssef Kerkour, one of the stars of C4 comedy Home, and Tim Renkow, stand-up and star of BBC comedy Jerk, have both been named in the Bafta Breakthrough UK list for 2020.
They were selected by a jury including Amma Asante, Edward Enninful, Melissa Johns and Fiona Shaw.
Following the critically-acclaimed and award-winning first series, Tim Renkow is back. Having been previously forced to return to the US, he’s now enrolled himself on a post graduate course in London. Not that he has any intention of actually going. But a student visa means he can stay in the UK- where he intends to wreak more havoc. Milking the discomfort his cerebral palsy creates in others and pushing the boundaries of what he can get away with for his own amusement.
Comedian Tim Renkow is one of the 21 actors selected for BAFTA Elevate 2019.
BAFTA Elevate is designed to support people from under-represented groups progressing in their careers, and to help tackle the issue of diversity in the industry as a whole. The actors represent a range of abilities, genders, races, sexual orientations or socioeconomic backgrounds.
BBC Three has come up with a pocket-sized gem in Jerk. Following a one-off pilot in 2016, this is only a four-part series but there’s a surprisingly pleasing arc to it as we go from squirming at the main character Tim’s behaviour to cheering him on at the end. As they say, we laugh and we learn.
Tim has cerebral palsy, which means that people judge him and his crumpled tissue of a body. But usually they judge him wrongly. Because what they don’t realise is that inside that severely disabled, fragile body is a bit of an asshole.
