Asian Comedy
BBC Asian Network Comedy is coming to Birmingham on Sunday 24 July, featuring performances from top comedians and live music.
Hosted by the network’s very own Nikita Kanda and Mistah Islah, audiences can expect an evening packed with laughter and entertainment from some of the UK’s hottest comedians as well as a DJ set from AJD.
BBC Asian Network has announced Hashu Mohammed, known as Smashbengali, as the new host of Weekend Breakfast (8am-11am) on the station.
Birmingham born and raised Smashbengali will be waking the nation up every Saturday and Sunday with a new start time of 8am. His show will deliver the very best of Asian entertainment, music, culture, comedy and celebrity guests, as well as an hour mix of Asian Network Certified at 10am.
On Friday 26th April 2019, the Asian Network will present a night of comedy featuring some of the hottest new names in stand-up.
The show will be broadcast live from the BBC Radio Theatre on BBC Asian Network and BBC iPlayer from 9 – 10pm, with highlights available to watch on Red Button and iPlayer.
