ITV will pay tribute to Des O'Connor, who died in November, in a special celebrating his life and work.
Des was the longest serving prime time TV host on British Television.  He topped theatre bills globally, including over a thousand solo appearances at the London Palladium. And despite much mockery from Morecambe & Wise, he released 36 Chart topping albums.  With a career spanning nearly 70 years, Des O'Connor was a showbusiness legend.

Tributes have been paid to Des O'Connor, who death at 88 has been announced.
His agent said he died on Saturday after a fall at his home. O’Connor was best known for hosting many television shows over the years ranging from Take Your Pick and Countdown to his own primetime chat show, where he gave a lot of comedians early mainstream breaks, often basically played straight man, teeing up their routines and then falling around laughing.
