Smoggie
Smoggie Queens, the award-winning BBC sitcom, has been recommissioned for a second series on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer for 2025.
Written and created by Middlesbrough native Phil Dunning, the series recently won Best Comedy at the RTS North East Awards, whilst Dunning won Best Newcomer.
Set in the North East English town of Middlesbrough, Smoggie Queens is an out and out comedy centred around a gang of friends who are fiercely proud of their town and their small pocket of the LGBTQ+ community.
