Limmy
Limmy's Homemade Show takes DIY comedy to a new level. A cast of one, Limmy finds himself playing multiple parts in his sketches, all the while mounting the camera on a tripod to capture his unique comedy musings. Mixing sketch, song, rant, animation and visual effects, Limmy continues to comment on contemporary life in his own anarchic style.
600 vines by playful, provocative Glaswegian comedian Limmy, aka Brian Limond, are to be screened in one evening as part of the forthcoming London Short Film Festival 2017, which runs from 6th-15th January. After the screening there will be an onstage Q&A with fellow Scot Armando Iannucci.
Well it’s not your typical internet dating video. In A Wee Video! For The Lassies! Limmy’s latest character attempts to wear his heart on his sleeve but maybe wears it a little more than intended. He tries to do the cheeky chappy schtick and turn on the charm but can’t quite carry it off. In fact he can't even tell a knock knock joke he picked up in the pub without getting sidetracked into talking about something less innocent.
On Friday 13 February, nine original comedy shorts will go live on BBC iPlayer to mark Valentine’s Day, featuring Bill Bailey, Matt Berry, Romesh Ranganathan, Sara Pascoe, Limmy, Nick Helm, Modern Toss, Russ Abbot and Katy Wix. Each comedian has each created a short Funny Valentine to bring their unique take on the international day of love.
