Caitlin Moran
Channel 4 decided to stop making Caitlin Moran's semi-autobiographical sitcom Raised By Wolves after two series, but maybe if they had carried on it might have turned out something like this. How To Build A Girl tells the story of a feisty, individualistic Black Country teen finding her way in the world of journalism and coming out on top by remaining true to her core beliefs. Oh, and it's very funny too.
Shooting has started on the new film How To Build A Girl, adapted by Caitlin Moran from her best selling, semi-autobiographical novel.
Casting has been announced for How to Build a Girl, the film based on the best-selling Caitlin Moran novel, which will start shooting in summer. Beanie Feldstein, recently seen in Greta Gerwig’s award-winning movie Lady Bird, is confirmed to play the lead role of Johanna Morrigan.
Also confirmed for the project is director Coky Giedroyc, whose TV credits include episodes of The Killing, The Hour, The Sound of Music Live, Harlots, and Good Behaviour. The screenplay is by the author of the original book, Caitlin Moran.
Update: less than one day after this was announced the campaign has already raised almost £60,000. Gosh.
Caitlin Moran has launched a campaign to save her sitcom Raised By Wolves.
You probably don’t need me to tell you much about Raised By Wolves. Unless you’ve had your broadband connection cut off recently you will know it’s the new sitcom written by Caitlin Moran and her sister Caroline recreating their unconventional childhood on a Wolverhampton council estate.
