Pointless
BBC One’s hit daytime series, Pointless, has unveiled a new line-up of celebrity co-hosts who will be joining host Alexander Armstrong on the upcoming series of the show.
Some of the famous faces set to appear on Britain’s beloved quiz show include Mel Giedroyc, Liza Tarbuck, Chris Ramsey, Gok Wan, Anita Rani, Gabby Logan, Josh Widdicombe, Phil Wang, Hugh Dennis, Ellie Taylor, Rob Rinder and Desiree Burch.
A special comedy edition of the general knowledge quiz in which four teams try to come up with the answers that no-one else could think of. Presented by Alexander Armstrong and co-host Richard Osman, with contestants Olga Koch, Chloe Petts, Arabella Weir, Jon Culshaw, Ted Robbins, Justin Moorhouse, Neil Delamere and Loyiso Gola (Delamere and Gola pictured).
It's a juicy stand-up comedy special on Pointless Celebrities this week with Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman quizzing some comedy pairings with the prize money going to charity.
The four duos are Rosie Jones and Miles Jupp. Russell Kane and Lucy Beaumont. Rhys James and Lloyd Griffith. Phil Wang and Sindhu Vee.
Pointless has scored its biggest commission yet with the BBC ordering 165 daytime and 45 primetime celebrity episodes of the hit game show.
The multi-series deal will see the award-winning programme hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman run through to the end of 2017.
The 1000th show special will air on BBC ONE later in the year.
Doon Mackichan, Nigel Planer, Adil Ray, Kevin Eldon, Nerys Hughes, Jeremy Dyson and The Chuckle Brothers are due to appear in a Comics edition of Pointless Celebrities. The episode will be broadcast on September 26 on BBC1.
Mark Watson will be appearing on the Authors edition on Octiober 10 and Ben Willbond will be on the history edition on October 17 – presumably because of his appearances on Horrible Histories. Office stars Ewan MacIntosh and Patrick Baladi appear in a Noughties edition on September 5.
