Taskmaster
Channel 4 has today announced the recommission of Taskmaster, keeping the Bafta and Rose D’Or award-winning format on the British public service broadcaster.
The deal sees Greg Davies and Alex Horne continue in their roles as the Taskmaster and his very small sidekick in six new series of the global hit series. Taskmaster’s New Year Treat, and the fan-favourite Taskmaster Champion of Champions (once there are more champions to crown) will also return.
The Taskmaster Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne are back on their respective thrones as the BAFTA and Rose D’Or winning Taskmaster returns with its highly anticipated 21st series which launches at 9pm on Thursday 9th April on Channel 4 and 10pm BST/5pm EST/2pm PST on the Taskmaster YouTube Channel across the rest of the world.
Hot on the heels of Taskmaster’s annual celebration which saw five famous faces compete for glory in New Year Treat, it has been revealed which five brand-new stout-hearted contestants are set to grasp the opportunity to impress the mighty Taskmaster Greg Davies, under the vigilant observation of Little Alex Horne, in series 21 of the International Emmy nominated, and BAFTA and Rose D’Or winning show.
Every year the comedy world throws up stories you least expect and 2025 was no exception. Here's a run-down of our biggest stories of the year. Maybe down to our brilliant investigative journalism. Maybe down to our ability to cut and paste efficiently. Maybe down to those damned algorithms. But at least none of them were created by AI.

Meanwhile, the next Champion of Champions is also set to return over the Christmas period with a fierce battle for the ultimate title.
As the official Taskmaster YouTube channel hits over one billion views and 1.94 million subscribers worldwide - making it the biggest British comedy show on YouTube - it has been announced that the upcoming 20th season of the BAFTA and Rose d’Or winning show will air online simultaneously in the UK and U.S. for the first time ever.
