Sunday Brunch With Steve Coogan, Katherine Ryan, Patrick Kielty

It really is a starry line-up on Sunday Brunch this week with hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer joined by guests including Steve Coogan, Katherine Ryan and Patrick Kielty.

Coogan will presumably be on the programme to talk about his upcoming C4 #metoo comedy drama Chivalry, which he has written with Sarah Solemani. They also star in it alongside Aisling Bea, Wanda Sykes, Sienna Miller, Lolly Adefope and Adjani Salmon. Watch a clip here. It will be interesting to see if Coogan has anything to say about his other provocative project in which he plays Jimmy Savile.

Comedian Katherine Ryan has just had played the London Palladium and returns their in May for more dates. Her latest show is entitled Missus and is about the fact that after years of championing the single life she reconnected with her childhood sweetheart Bobby Koostra and got married. Last year she gave birth to their child Fred - she also has a young teenage daughter Violet who is typically embarrassed by her mum's antics.

Patrick Kielty is also touring this year. Borderline is his first tour in five years and starts in Nottingham on May 11. Full dates here. Borderline sees Kielty return to his satirical roots with a personal take on borders, national identity and the future of the Union in a post-Brexit landscape. As a Northern Ireland native, who grew up close to the Irish border, this new one man stand up show delves into his homeland’s recent history to try to make sense of what Brexit’s new borders and political upheaval means for our shared identities.

Kielty said when he announced the tour: “The world’s been turned on its head the past few years and thanks to Brexit, we’re more obsessed with borders and national identity than ever. With Northern Ireland at the centre of it all, it feels like the right time to get back on stage and try to make some sense of where we’re heading.”

Also on the show is Red Hot Chili Peppers vocalist Anthony Kiedis. Plus lashings of food and drink and banter

Sunday Brunch, April 3, 9.30am, C4.
