sunday brunch
Some top quality comedy content on this week's edition of Sunday Brunch, with guests including Reece Shearsmith, Rachel Parris, Jayde Adams, and Tom Davis.
Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer spend their Sunday morning chatting and cooking with another mixed menu of guests this week. There's boy band Blue who have got back together again, Nick Grimshaw, who is on the promotional trail to talk about his new autobiography Soft Lad. Plus Dictionary Corner legend Susie Dent, Rakie Ayola who stars in BBC drama The Pact, and Gangs of London star Sope Dirisu. Plus guest chef Angela Hartnett, OBE.
Quite a bit of comedy content on Sunday Brunch this week, including Rachel Parris and Isy Suttie.
Parris has just completed a short run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and is soon to be seen as the new host of Dave's Late Night Mash following the departure of Nish Kumar. Parris was previously more of a musical comedian but her short satirical segments were a highlight of the show when it was originally on the BBC so it will be inetresting to see how she does in the main hot seat.
No Tim Lovejoy this week which will no doubt delight his critics and upset his fans. Instead Miquita Oliver is guest presenter alongside Simon Rimmer. Maybe they should try to get Simon Amstell in as well and resurrect Popworld...
This week's guests on Sunday Brunch with Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy are Alex James from Blur, Scarlett Moffatt, Sunetra Sarker, Richard Blackwood, Sharon Rooney and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Famed punk fashion designer Jean Paul will be talking about the upcoming show at London's Roundhouse which tells his colourful life story and maybe he will be chatting about famously getting men to wear skirts.
Interesting bunch of guests on Sunday Brunch this week – Gemma Whelan, Munya Chawawa, Boyzlife, Ashley and Jordan Banjo and music from Kawala.
It always strikes me as funny that Gemma Wheln is most famous these days for playing Yara Greyjoy in Game of Thrones and appearing in numerous other groundbreaking dramas. I first saw her at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe when she was doing comedy characters, grotesque creations which suggested she had a dark, quirky and very creative mind.
It really is a starry line-up on Sunday Brunch this week with hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer joined by guests including Steve Coogan, Katherine Ryan and Patrick Kielty.
It's a particularly mixed international line-up this week on Sunday Brunch which might involve some sudden gear changes from hosts Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy.
Two superstar comedians from two different generations are on Sunday Brunch this week.
Some interesting guests on Sunday Brunch this week. Comedian Geoff Norcott has carved out a niche for himself as the acceptable face of Tory-voting stand-ups. He just says what he thinks and even if you don't agree with him politically he sounds quite reasonable. And he is certainly no Tory toff, he grew up on a council estate and has come to his own conclusions about politics. And what's more he's that rare thing these days in the middle of heated culture wars – even if you don't agree with his politcs he is still funny.
