It is a poignant edition of Pointless Celebrities tonight. One of the people taking part is Tom Parker, who became famous as a member of boy band The Wanted and died this week of a brain tumour after being diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma in October 2020. He was 33 years old.

Co-host Richard Osman tweeted: "There is a very special edition of 'Pointless Celebrities' this evening. Recorded a few months ago it features the extraordinary @tomparker I hope it shows his strength and kindness. He and@MaxGeorge play for @BrainTumourOrg if you would like to donate in his memory."

Parker made his last public appearance on March 17 on the final date of The Wanted’s reunion tour in Liverpool. He has a book coming out in July. On March 21 he tweeted: This is not a book about dying: it’s a book about living. It’s a book about finding hope in whatever situation you’re dealt, and living your best life no matter what. It’s HOPE my autobiography publishing July 21st. Pre order your copy now! tomparkerbook.co.uk."
