This year's winners are all debut shows making the Amused Moose Comedy Awards 2022 a talentscouts dream.
Nicholls & Brown's Grubby Little Mitts have won Amused Moose Comedy Awards Top Sketch Edinburgh Fringe show trophy for previously unknown comedy performers on the Fringe. Their show is in Assembly George Square studios, and is their Fringe debut.
Rosie and Sullivan's Moose trophy was presented by Dani Rae, Assembly's general manager.

Richard David Caine: Tall Dark and Anxious was presented this afternoon with his Amused Moose Comedy Awards Outstanding Edinburgh Fringe show trophy for a previously unknown character comedy performer, with his solo Fringe debut. Richard's show is at Underbelly Cowgate.

These Amused Moose Comedy Awards 2022 will thrust the performers onto the very cusp of fame. Already one of the nominees, Christian Brighty, has had a run at Soho Theatre, and Amused Moose Comedy are hopeful that the tradition will continue of more winners and other nominees also treading those boards.
Amused Moose Comedy Awards is the only awards on the Edinburgh Fringe which focusses on discovering brilliant though unknown comedy performers resident in UK/RoI, who do not yet have comedy agents and whose shows have not won any major comedy awards nor performed at comedy's "stepping stone" Soho Theatre. Amused Moose Comedy Awards is the ‘senior strand’ of the Amused Moose comedy competitions.

Entries were submitted by the performers to Amused Moose Comedy in July, including a film of a public performance of their show as a preview/work-in-progress. Then dozens of comedy industry cognescenti around the globe viewed all films online to select those who would go onto the Longlist, and others onto the Wildcard list which featured shows that felt far from ready for performance at the Edinburgh Fringe but had potential. Those lists included almost all entries, such is the high standard in 2022 following the long break.
The 'super seven' nominees were selected from both lists - four from the Longlist and three from the Wildcard list - by a panel of comedy industry folk including critics, promoters and producers, who have been seeing shows at the Edinburgh Fringe which entered Amused Moose Comedy Awards 2022. A judges meeting ratified the votes of the live panel to select the winners of this year's three categories of stand-up, sketch and character comedy.
