Darren Harriott Glides Through His Dancing On Ice Debut

Darren Harriott Joins Dancing On Ice

Darren Harriott competed for the first time on ITV's Dancing on Ice last night, performing to Fireball by Pitball in a dance complete with fire and a soaking. Beginning in a make-shift kitchen, Darren and partner Tippy Packard shimmied and glided their way through the number ending with the latter soaking the comedian with a glass of water, even coining a new move the “neck flick and chill” in the process.

With a total of 26.5 points, this put Darren in joint third place of this week’s skaters in line with Hollyoak’s actress Molly Gallagher. The lowest scoring celeb was footballer and TV host John Fashanu who finished with 19 points and went into a skate off against Love Island’s Ekin-Su where he was then voted off the show.

Excitedly screaming “I can hear my voice, I’m really high pitched!” as the judges spoke to him after his performance, Darren asked “was I smiling?” before declaring “That was great! Ice skating is great, so much fun!”

Speaking on Instagram afterwards Darren thanked his followers for the unexpected support saying “Gosh what a rush” as he moves into next week’s musicals round!

TV’s rising star, and award-nominated comedian, Darren Harriott has announced his first UK tour in 2023 entitled ‘Roadman’.  The tour starts on Wednesday 13th September at Glasgow’s Glee Club and culminates on 25th October at Salford’s Lowry.

“I used to be a bit of a Roadman back in gang days but now I’m a comedian going on the road...man! Get it? U better!  And YOU better show your boy some support or else you will find me loitering in your garden.”  DARREN HARRIOTT

Darren has come a long way from being wrongly arrested as a schoolboy in Birmingham to becoming the face of the West Midlands Tourist Board to mark the city hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2022.

He’s a team captain on Guessable, just filmed its 4th series, is a series regular on The Outsiders season 2 for Dave hosted by David Mitchell and co-hosted the last season of Love Island: Aftersun.
