Mae Martin is set to make a new series for Netflix.

The star of acclaimed comedy Feel Good is working on a new project called Tall Pines.

Tall Pines is reported to be an eight-episode series. Martin is creator, co-showrunner and executive producer and will play a lead role. It has been said that they will play a police officer but this has not been confirmed.

The series will be a thriller set in a quiet small town and will explore the underbelly of the “troubled teen industry” and the struggle between youths and adults.

Martin says of the show: “Tall Pines is a story I’ve been dying to tell for years, and I’m beyond excited for people to see what we have in store. It’s going to be an insane roller coaster and so different to anything I’ve done before. Very very grateful to Netflix for supporting it, and I can’t wait to get going.”
