Star of Ghosts, Taskmaster and Stath Lets Flats Kiell Smith-Bynoe is set to bring his smash-hit, sell-out improvised comedy show Kiell Smith-Bynoe & Friends: Kool Story Bro to Southwark Playhouse Elephant from Wednesday 21st to Saturday 24th February.
Kool Story Bro, which launched with three sold-out performances at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 and has since sold out at both Soho Theatre and Theatre Royal Stratford East, sees Kiell joined each night by a team of the very best improvisers on the UK circuit. With the help of a surprise special guest, they call on the audience to share their wildest personal anecdotes to spin out brilliant, bizarre and totally unscripted stories.
With past shows featuring made-up masterpieces like ‘I Got Blocked On Skype By Liam Payne’, ‘Amy Winehouse Shouted At Me In A Sainsbury’s’, ‘I Lost My Virginity To A Fence’ and ‘Squirrel Murder’, anything and everything can and does happen in Kiell and co.’s madcap scenes. At Southwark Playhouse Elephant, fans can expect two hours of lightning-quick, hugely inventive improvised mayhem, with a different roster of some of the most exciting names in TV, comedy and theatre joining each night.
Previous special guests include Jamie Demetriou, Charlotte Ritchie and Guz Khan. Previous improvisers include Emma Sidi, Emily Lloyd-Saini, Lola-Rose Maxwell, Nic Sampson, Graham Dickson, Brendan Murphy and Anna Leong Brophy.
