The Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

There's a good turn-out of comedy guests on this week's edition of The Jonathan Ross Show. Acting legend Ray Winstone is joined by comedians Noel Fielding, Katherine Ryan and Eddie Kadi, while there is music from the Vaccines.

It's certainly a very different line-up to Graham Norton's show last night, which boasted film stars Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet, but it should provide more laughs. Noel Fielding hasn't done a chat show for a while but is back to promote his upcoming Apple series, The Completely Made-Up Adventures Of Dick Turpin. The new series is coming in early March and also stars Hugh Bonneville, Tamsin Greig, Asim Chaudhry, Ellie White and Duayne Boachie. Judging by some early pictures that have been released there's a bit of an Adam Ant vibe going on with Fielding's look. I imagine the talk will be mainly about that and Bake Off and not about the Mighty Boosh facing controversy a while back over their character Spirit of Jazz which used blackface.

Katherine Ryan also has a new show coming up. As well as fronting Parental Guidance about life with children, she is one of the stars alongside Rosie Jones and Judi Love of the new Comedy Central panel show Out Of Order in which members of the public, known as “Rosie’s Regulars”, are ranked from least to most likely across a number of categories such as who has the most tattoos? It starts on February 26.

Eddie Kadi is a long-established comedian with a large, devoted fanbase. In fact he was one of the first black stand-ups to perform a headline gig at the 02 Arena when he took the audacious step of booking the venue himself way back in 2010, long before social media had taken off. He has playd lots of big gigs then and continues to fill venues around the UK.

As for Ray Winstone he is simply a legend. One of his most iconic roles was in the movie Sexy Beast. there has recently been a prequel but Winstone is not in it – although Dick turpin star Tamsin Greig is.

The Jonathan Ross Show, Saturday, 9.35pm, ITV1.
