Of all the Urban Myths episodes I've watched so far The Dali And The Cooper is probably the most filmic and easily the most trippy. Maybe not surprising as it was directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, who made the Nick Cave movie 20,000 Days On Earth and have also staged performance art events such as recreating David Bowie's famous Ziggy Stardust farewell gig. Surrealist Salvador Dali and snake-cuddling rocker Alice Cooper seem like the perfect subjects for them.
The Great British Bake Off tent is welcoming some very special celebrity bakers for five new episodes of The Great Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off for Channel 4. In each episode four celebrities will battle it out over three rounds in a bid to be crowned Star Baker.
The celebrities facing the signature, technical and show-stopper challenges are:
Noel Fielding is to play rock icon Alice Cooper in a one-off film for Sky with music by Jarvis Cocker and Richard Hawley as part of their Urban Myths series.
Noel Fielding is set to return to The Great British Bake Off for another series.
The news was confirmed this morning (Tuesday, October 31). The final is due to be broadcast tonight at 8pm.
The other members of the team Paul Hollywood, Prue Leith and Sandi Toksvig, will also be back.
The announcement has been slightly overshadowed by Prue Leith accidentally revealing the winner of the show in advance on Twitter this morning, posting: "I wanted them all to win. Bravo XXXX (name redacted by BTJ).
