noel fielding
The first series of Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy in 2012 received such bad write-ups you’d have thought the Mighty Boosh star was killing babies live on TV. His psychedelic sense of humour just seemed too out there for a lot of critics and viewers. I read recently that Fielding purposely chose to do something knowingly inaccessible as a response to Booshmania. I guess in a way it was his Kid A after Creep.
Update 4/3/14 - Exclusive ticket pre-sale via those lovely Boosh superfans The Velvet Onion available now - details here.
Following recent rumours of a Mighty Boosh tour which were promptly denied by the duo's management, Julian Barratt is definitely doing a live gig in his own right.
Good news for Mighty Boosh fans – or at least Mighty Boosh fans who can afford transatlantic flights. The duo will be reuniting to appear at the Festival Supreme, a one-day comedy festival organised by Jack Black and Kyle Glass, aka Tenacious D. Also appearing are Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianikis, Eric Idle, Adam Sandler, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Reggie Watts and lots more.
