The Mighty Boosh – Noel Fielding & Julian Barratt – will be UK ambassadors for Record Store Day this year.
They are the first comedy duo to take on the role. Previous ambassadors have been Elton John, Dave Grohl and St Vincent.
"The bar's been set at a new height," Julian Barratt told Radio 1's Newsbeat. Noel Fielding added: "It's definitely put a spring in my step."
Limited edition vinyl albums from The Mighty Boosh and League of Gentlemen are to be released to mark Record Store Day 2019.
This year's annual event will take place on Saturday, April 13.
The records are being released by Demon Records.

A new exhibition in London is to mark the last decade of the Mighty Boosh. The Book Club in Shoreditch will become The Boosh Club from October 20 until January 2017 with an exhibition celebrating a decade since The Mighty Boosh’s first UK tour. The Book Club will also host a series of themed arts and culture events, including a Boosh-themed Artist Lock-in and a Boosh Halloween party…
Julian Barratt has refused to discount the possibility of a Mighty Boosh reunion in the future, neither confirming or denying frequently talked about plans for a film with Noel Fielding.
No press tickets issued, no reviewers invited to Julian Barratt's first "love blast" at the Soho Theatre in the guise of relaxation guru Jon Breeze, who wants to "touch your now". The duo will be reuniting to appear at the Festival Supreme, a one-day comedy festival organised by Jack Black and Kyle Glass, aka Tenacious D. Also appearing are Sarah Silverman, Zach Galifianikis, Eric Idle, Adam Sandler, Demetri Martin, Hannibal Buress, Reggie Watts and lots more.
