The Last Leg With Dara O Briain and Janine Harouni

The Last Leg With Dara O Briain and Janine Harouni

It should be an interesting edition of The Last Leg tonight. It's the first show since it was revealed that Josh Widdicombe will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Celebrity Special this Christmas.

Expect lots of jokes from co-hosts Alex Brooker and Adam Hills of the best foot forward, two left feet variety. In fact the funny thing is that the first time I interviewed Josh Widdicombe he said that someone had written to him asking for signed pictures of his feet. He thought it was for a charity auction but eventually realised it was more likely to be a foot fetishist collecting pictures of celebrity feet.

Widdicombe has been training for quite a while for the show. In fact he hinted that he might be taking part when he said on the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett in the summer that he was trying to get fit. Although when I asked him if he was doing Strictly when I interviewed him again around that time he said he wasn't and maybe it wasn't definite yet.

Anywaym he is certainly working hard to be good on Strictly now. In fact he is training so hard he revealed recently that when he went to a sports shop to buy some shirts to wear he tried one on and when he went to pay the assistant told him to put one of the ones he had chosen back as it smelt. The assistant didn't realise that it smelt of Widdicombe's own sweat because he had tried it on shortly after dance class...

Apart from gossip about Josh's forthcoming dance career, the show also features Dara O Briain who recently announced that he is going out on a big tour in 2025 entitled Re: Creation. Read more about it and buy tickets here. Plus top UK-based American comedian Janine Harouni, who should have some interesting things to say about the recent US election as her father is a Trump supporter...

The Last Leg, Friday, November 15, 10pm, C4
