Shortlists Revealed For 2024 Comedy.co.uk Awards

Sixty finalists in the 19th annual Comedy.co.uk Awards have been announced today.

Smoggie Queens, Wallace & Gromit, Alma’s Not Normal, Inside No. 9 and Taskmaster are amongst the comedy programmes from 2024 that have made it through the first of two voting rounds, from all 346 automatically nominated television and radio titles that aired new episodes last year – down slightly from 351 in 2023.

Across ten categories – including Best New TV Sitcom, Best Radio Panel Show, and Best TV Comedy Drama – the top six titles in each are now up for their respective prizes, plus the overarching Comedy Of The Year trophy. 

Entirely publicly voted, the winners will be revealed next month, with shortlist voting open now at www.comedy.co.uk/awards

Launched in 2006, the awards attract many thousands of public votes every year. Winners are determined entirely by the poll, with no jury or other mechanism involved, from all comedy-related programmes to have broadcast a special or started a new series in the respective calendar year.
