There's a particularly strong comedy contingent on this week's Richard Osman's House of Games champions show. Food writer Jimi Famurewa and broadcaster Colin Murray are joined by Sara Pascoe and Harriet Kemsley.
Sara Pascoe is, without question, one of the best comedians around. She is sharp, funny, honest and thoughtful and not afraid to speak her mind. She is currently doing warm-ups to prepare for her next tour, entitled. and if you get a chance to see her grab it. more detals of her latest show, entitled I Am A Strange Gloop here..
Her first tour since 2022 will begin on Saturday 21st June 2025 in Ipswich at the New Wolsey Theatre. Pascoe, who is married to fellow comedian Steen Raskopoulos, will perform at the London Palladium on Sunday 1st March 2026.
Through her trademark confessional comedy, Sara contemplates a new era. Gone are the days of self-exploration via sexual safari, instead this middle-aged new mum must work out who she is while watching Peppa Pig, coated with squashed banana down her jumper and sweet potato in her hair.
As I said, she's one of the best comedians around. But will she triumph on House of Games.
Also on the same week of House of Games is Harriet Kemsley, who had a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe last year wiuth her latest live show, Everything Always Works Out For Me.
Kemsley was married to fellow comedian Bobby Mair, but since separating has launched a podcast, Single Ladies in Your Area, with Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Amy Gledhill.
In the podcast Amy and Harriet are trying to navigate the dating scene - but the landscape has changed. How do you flirt? What’s the best dating app? Do love spells work? They’ll speak to experts and friends, talk about dates they’ve been on and share their listeners’ dating horror stories to try to figure it all out and feel less alone.
Reflecting on their own turbulent dating journeys, Harriet and Amy have fascinating conversations with sex and relationship therapists, alongside revealing chats with fellow comedians to explore what it means to be single in the modern dating landscape and to gain top tips on how to navigate the challenges of being single in your 30s.
It's a winning podcast, but can she win Richard Osman's House of Games this week.
