Adam Kay is set to tour again, delivering a unique insight into the British healthcare system as he takes the audience behind the blood-splattered curtain. Adam will be joined in conversation by another famous face (unless they cancel at the last-minute) who will act as your guide throughout the evening as Kay launches his debut crime novel, A PARTICULARLY NASTY CASE.
Expect tales from the wards, exclusive readings from and insight into his much-anticipated and hugely gripping new medical mystery at this one-night only (per city) event. The show – which is the only way to guarantee a signed copy of his debut novel ahead of publication - will also include an audience Q&A with Adam, author of multi-million global bestseller THIS IS GOING TO HURT.
‘I’m very much looking forward to taking A PARTICULARLY NASTY CASE out on the road. If you need any encouragement to come along, it might currently be your quickest way to see a doctor – admittedly one who hasn’t practiced medicine for fifteen years.’ Adam Kay
As an award-winning live performer, Adam has sold out multiple Edinburgh Fringe shows, West End seasons and UK and international tours. His live tour of This is Going to Hurt was one of the most-attended UK shows of recent years, seen by over 300,000 people and described by the Guardian as ‘electrifying’ and ‘blissfully brilliant’ by Mail on Sunday. His most recent show Undoctored was the biggest selling show of the Edinburgh Fringe 2023.
Adam Kay is an award-winning writer and comedian who has sold over five million books. His debut book, This is Going to Hurt, is a literary sensation: a Sunday Times number one bestseller for over a year, winning a record-breaking four National Book Awards and selling over 3 million copies. It was adapted by Kay as the multi BAFTA-winning comedy-drama series for the BBC, including Adam as best writer. He lives in Oxfordshire with his husband, dog, two children and beloved BAFTA.
