On Saturday, Alex Horne joined The Kickabout with Toby Tarrant (sitting in for Johnny Vaughan) on Radio X
Horne, the brain behind hit comedy show Taskmaster, which returns to C4 on May 1, has named who he wants to replace host and comedian Greg Davies should he decide to step down from the show in the future: US President Donald Trump, who Alex calls the ‘only possible successor’ to Greg’s throne!

TT: “Is it getting bigger abroad? Because I saw you and Greg Davies on all the fancy, late night, sexy talk shows in America.”
AH: “Yeah, weirdly it is. It’s only on YouTube in America, but it seems to have picked up momentum somehow. And I like being a niche, culty thing, and it is that. You know, it’s a very small thing in a huge pond. But, I mean, I've always said if Greg goes – which he will eventually, because he's not a healthy man – it's going to be… I think Trump is the only possible successor.”
TT: “Oh, that would be a sort of nice full circle. He went from The Apprentice, dabbled briefly in politics, and then returns as the host!”
GW: “It’s nailed on in many ways.”
AH: “I love you’re saying he’s dabbled briefly in politics for two decades!!”
TT: “I just picture him sat on the throne with Alex sat next to him.”
AH: “I’ll still be there.”
TT: “Oh you'll still be there!”
