Lucy Porter is back on the road from 6th February, 2026 to November 2026 with her eighteenth solo show, Let Yourself Go - an hour of stand-up exploring what it means to age, evolve, and loosen your grip on everything from self-image to social expectations. The show will tour the UK including dates in Leeds, London, Cambridge and Sheffield.
Best known for her appearances on Live at the Apollo, QI, and BBC Radio 4 staples like The News Quiz and Just a Minute, Lucy has built a career on smart, personable comedy that draws audiences in with warmth and wit. In this new show, she reflects on the strange freedom of midlife - from the reality of botox regrets and menopausal rage to her newfound love of slankets, garden centres, and doing the register at the start of each show.
The title, Let Yourself Go, was inspired by a YouTube comment she spotted after appearing on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip - a show she admits feels a world away from her earlier gigs on Mock the Week and Buzzcocks. It prompted a deeper look at how she’s changed over the years, and how letting go - of control, of ambition, of your pelvic floor - might not be a crisis, but a calling.
Audiences can expect stories about clubbing in the '90s, working at Granada Television, and being married to a man more than a foot taller than she is. There may also be embroidery, a few stern words for poor indicators, and a gentle message of encouragement to anyone currently trapped in a pub toilet in a jumpsuit.
Lucy’s big passion is quizzing - she hosts the successful Podcast ‘Fingers on Buzzers’ alongside Jenny Ryan AKA The Chase’s Vixen, they have also recently released their debut quiz book. Lucy has achieved some personal quizzing goals by bringing home a Pointless trophy and becoming the Celebrity Mastermind ‘Champion of Champions’.
Lucy’s dulcet tones are regularly heard on BBC Radio 4. She’s starred in her own series “In the Family Way” and is a regular voice on The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth and Just a Minute. Lucy is a keen student of comedy history and is on the board of Bristol’s annual Slapstick Festival.
