The BBC has released a selection of first-look images ahead of a brand-new series of BAFTA and RTS Award winning comedy Dinosaur, coming soon to BBC Scotland, BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
Series two follows Nina (Ashley Storrie), an autistic woman in her 30s, eight months after we last saw her. She is knee-deep in mud on an Isle of Wight dig site, living her palaeontology dream. Or at least, that’s what she tells herself. Truthfully, she’s exhausted, missing Glasgow, her family, Lee and her home comforts; namely Real Housewives marathons with sister Evie and sausage rolls. When she finally returns to Scotland, she finds that everything has changed. Her workplace has moved, there’s some big McArthur family news, plus she’s thrown into an awkward feelings triangle between Lee and an unexpected new arrival. She has learnt to handle change. But this much change, all at once?
The heart-warming six-part series, created by Matilda Curtis and Ashley Storrie, is a Two Brothers Pictures (Fleabag, The Tourist) production for Hulu (US) and BBC Scotland, BBC iPlayer and BBC Three (UK) in association with All3Media International, who handle global distribution for the series.
Dinosaur was commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of BBC Comedy and Louise Thornton, Head of Commissioning for BBC Scotland. It is based on an original idea by Matilda Curtis.
The Executive Producers are Sarah Hammond, Katie Churchill, Harry Williams, Jack Williams. The Director is Niamh McKeown, and the Producer is Brian Coffey. The BBC Commissioning Editors are Emma Lawson and Gavin Smith.
Dinosaur will air soon on BBC Scotland and BBC Three, following with a release on Hulu.
