Komedia New Comedy Awards Final – Results

Review: Komedia New Comedy Awards Final, Komedia, Brighton

The final has taken place of this year's Komedia New Comedy Awards in association with Comic Boom comedy club and arts journalist Victoria Nangle. Ten acts competed in a closely fought laugh-off at Brighton's Komedia Club, each doing a short set in front of the judges (including me).

And the results are as follows:

KNCA 2026 Winner - Michael Campuzano

Runners-up (in no particular order) - George Harvey, Shannon Ong, Oro Rose

It is a reflection of the high standard and how equally matched the performers were that while there should have only been one runner up, three were chosen.

The winner, Michael Campuzano, won with an impressive accessible set about having a Spanish father and an English stepmum and being a bin man.

Previous winners and finalists include Jack Skipper, Michael Akadiri, Shalaka Kurup,  Andrew Fox, Daman Bamrah, Christian Jegard and 2025 winner Sydney May.

The award is open to comedians who have been gigging regularly for less than three years but have not won any major comedy competition.

Pictured are all ten finalists: Front row - George Harvey, Oro Rose, Shannon Ong, Scott Oswald. Back row - Eoghan Collins, Michael Campuzano, Paggy, Craig Donaghy, Tracey Davies, Louis Beer.
