Comedian Vikki Stone is to perform at CERN, home of the Large Hadron Collider as part of their TED Talks season 2015.
Stone recently performed her science-themed song about Brian Cox on BBC One’s The John Bishop Show, and it caught the attention of the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, CERN.
Vikki is one of only 12 invited speakers, and has been invited to create a unique performance for the event, which will be broadcast as a TED talk.
Stone is also due to appear in the new ITV2 comedy panel show Safeword, alongside Katherine Ryan and David Morgan.
The third edition of TEDxCERN will be held in Switzerland on 9 October with the theme 'Breaking the rules', focusing on innovations that could transform our lives.
The event is by invitation only and free of charge. A limited number of tickets will be available to the public. Information on how to apply will be available in July.
