The Producers Guild of America has announced its TV Awards nominations and a number of familiar British comedy creatives are in the running.

In the The Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy category Veep is nominated and is produced by (deep breath) Armando Iannucci, Chris Addison, Simon Blackwell, Christopher Godsick, Stephanie Laing, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Frank Rich, Tony Roche, Kevin Cecil, Roger Drew, Sean Gray, Ian Martin, Georgia Pritchett, David Quantick, Andy Riley, Will Smith and Bill Hill. The programme is nominated alongside Inside Amy Schumer, Modern Family, Silicon Valley and Transparent.

The nominees for The Award for Outstanding Producer of Live Entertainment & Talk Television include Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, which is produced by Tim Carvell, John Oliver and Liz Stanton. The other nominees in this category are the producers of The Colbert Report, Key & Peele, Real Time with Bill Maher and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The winners will be announced on January 23.
