Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror is to become a book. 

The stories will not be written by Brooker, however. He will be acting as editor. Nor will they be based on stories that have appeared in the C4 or Netflix runs. According to the information released they will be "new, original, darkly satirical stories that tap into our collective unease about the modern world. This is BLACK MIRROR in book form - allowed to roam through the imaginations of some of the leading names in contemporary fiction. This collection will challenge you to see the world in a different - and more disturbing - light. You have been warned..."

The book is to be published by Del Rey. According to The Bookseller, the first book is part of a three-book deal.

Brooker confirmed the news on Twitter. "We're pleased to announce Black Mirror will soon be available in high-tech 'paper' format" and "All-new stories from different authors, yeah?"
