Peter Kay's Car Share was the big comedy Winner at the National Television Awards. It won the Best Comedy category beating nominees Benidorm, Still Open All Hours and The Big Bang Theory.

Elsewhere David Walliams won Best TV Judge for his work on Britain's Got Talent. The other nominees were Paul Hollywood, The Great British Bake Off; Simon Cowell, Britain’s Got Talent/The X Factor and will.i.am, The Voice UK/The Voice Kids.

Ant & Dec won Best TV Presenters for the 17th year and their Saturday Night Takeaway won The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award. The other nominees were All Round To Mrs Brown’s, Celebrity Juice and The Graham Norton Show.
