Nine out of the eleven finalists for the first ever Komedia New Comedy Award have been revealed.
The two remaining finalists will be chosen by wild card voting which is now live. See below to find out how to vote.
After four sell out heats and some difficult decisions for the judges, the nine finalists are as follows:
Christian Jegard, Sascha LO, Dinesh Nathan, Lily Phillips, Joshua Mays, Fran Kissling, Will Robbins, Michael Akadiri and Martin Durchov.
The public can vote for their favourite two wild cards from the line-up of five – Liz Collis, Jack Abela, Alfie Packham, Dan Jones and Chelsea Birkby. Simply go to the Komedia New Comedy Award YouTube playlist (link below) and ‘like’ the video of the wild card comedians you want to get through. Voting closes this Sunday, February 9, at midday.
The final takes place on Tuesday, February 11 at Komedia in Brighton and will be compered by Brighton local Angela Barnes. Buy tickets here.
The Komedia New Comedy Award was launched in January 2020 in association with Comic Boom and Victoria Nangle.
