Daniel Kitson has announced a run of stand-up shows at this years Edinburgh Festival. He will be doing midnight shows at The Stand from August 3 - 24 (not Fridays and Saturdays).
From August 3 - 12 the show will be called A Variety of Things In A Room and will feature Kitson and his musical chum Gavin Osborn. From August 13 - 24 he will be doing Fuckstorm 3001 with regular chums Alun Cochrane and Andy Zaltaman.
The first show will consist of songs and short stories. The second, says Kitson in his newsletter, will be “three men showing off and shouting over each other for around 90 minutes…Alun will almost certainly get a bit drunk, demand he gets paid VAT and insist he’s not a postman.”
Tickets will be £9. 100 will be sold in advance and there will be 40 tickets available at The Stand’s box office each day at noon. Four tickets per person.
Advance tickets go on sale at noon on Wednesday July 9 at this link here* Please note you may need to register here before you can buy tickets, so it may be prudent to do that bit before noon.
There will also be a run of warm-ups at The Hob in Forest Hill from July 7. Tickets for these shows go on sale at noon on July 7 here.
*The link will not work until noon on Wednesday July 9. That's what Daniel Kitson says.
