The first trailer has been released for the American version of Would I Lie to You?

The series will air on The CW network from April 9. According to reports Aasif Mandvi hosts and Matt Walsh and Sabrina Jalees are the team captains, taking on the roles of Rob Brydon, David Mitchell and Lee Mack (pictured).

Celebrity guests include Brooke Shields, Amber Ruffin, Laura Benanti, Michael Ian Black, Andrea Martin, Jordan Klepper, Adam Pally, Preet Bharara, ex-US Attorney for the southern district of New York, Chris Gethard, Laura Benanti, Maulik Pancholy, Becky Ann Baker, Jena Friedman, Fisher Stevens, Casey Jost, Nyambi Nyambi, Hari Kondabulu, Andrea Martin, Krysta Rodriguez and Amy Hoggart.

Sadly there is no mention of Bob Mortimer in th US version. BTJ would love to see what American viewers make of his tales if meat pockets, eggs in the bath and DIY dentistry.
