Stewart Lee's last show Basic Lee is to be broadcast on Sky Comedy next month.
Lee has revealed in an interview that the acclaimed show will air on July 20.
It is one of a number of upcoming comedy specials to be broadcast on the free-to-air channel. The others are: David Baddiel: Not the Trilogy, Lucy Beaumont: Live from the Royal Court Theatre, Tom Davis: Underdog, John Kearns: The Varnishing Days, Chris Ramsey: Live from London. They will be broadcast later this year.
Lee broke the news in a wide-ranging interview with music newsletter The New Cue to promote some upcoming gigs he is doing with bands and more, which you can read here.
The comedian also spoke more about what fans can expect in his next show Stewart Lee Vs The Man-Wulf. "The first half will be me as me. More talking to the audience." It sounds as if he has edgelord Netflix comedians in his critical crosshairs: "At the end of the first half, I turn into a werewolf. I do the second half as a kind of reactionary werewolf stand-up comedian, doing horrible material about minorities and stuff. In a costume. Then that werewolf will get a really good deal off a streaming service to do his horrible act."
