Enter And Vote In The Comedy Poster Awards

Edinbirgh Fringe Comedy Poster Awards Results

Entries are now invited for this year's Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Poster Awards.

The Comedy Poster Awards celebrate the best artwork at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

First taking place in 2014, this competition was established by TV and live comedy producer Gina Lyons to celebrate the most popular and loved designs in poster artwork at the Fringe: from the idea, to the photo, to the finished artwork.

There are two categories: The Panel Award, in which the shortlist and winner is decided by expert judges; and The Audience Award, which is decided via voting buttons here.

The 2024 contest is now open, with the winners set to be announced on the evening of Tuesday 20th August. In Edinburgh then? Hosted by comedian and film-maker Joe Bor, the ceremony is free to attend and will take place at 10pm at Gilded Balloon's Patter Hoose.

If you have artwork, submit your poster now. If you're a comedy fan, browse the entries.

The prize

2024's Audience Award winner will receive a package of free placements for their 2025 Fringe posters around Edinburgh (worth more than £600), courtesy of the city council's advertising partner, Out of Hand, and a cash prize of £200 from awards founder Gina Lyons's Gobby Girl Productions.

Gobby Girl will further give the Panel Award winner a £300 cash prize.

Lyons says: In the hardest year for TV and sponsorship in recent memory, I hope the £500 prize fund from Gobby Girl can take a small edge off the massive bills faced by two shows at this year's Fringe. I want to thank our media sponsors British Comedy Guide for their constant support for comedy.
