Bob Mortimer has been trending on X following the reminder by David Mitchell that he is making an eagerly anticipated appearance on this week's edition of Would I Lie To You? The show will be broadcast on BBC One at 8pm this Friday, March 7. The other guests joining host Rob Brydon and team captains Mitchell and Lee Mack are Sara Davies, Michelle de Swarte and Chris Ramsey.

But it is Mortimer's billing that is getting fans excited. Previous appearances, in which he has told stories about racing driver Damon Hill, doing his own dentistry, pocket meat and cracking an egg into the bath as advised by Chris Rea, have quickly gone viral.

PB posted: "I don’t watch much terrestrial television these days, but will always make an exception for Bob Mortimer when he’s on ‘would I lie to you’."
