Bob Mortimer has been trending on X following the reminder by David Mitchell that he is making an eagerly anticipated appearance on this week's edition of Would I Lie To You? The show will be broadcast on BBC One at 8pm this Friday, March 7. Gone Christmas Fishing takes Paul and Bob to Cahors in the South-West of France where they celebrate another eventful year of fishing together. Under the warm Autumnal French sun, they fish the river Cele and the Lot in search of Mediterranean Bass and huge French Carp.
In this hour-long special programme, they reflect on the highs and lows of the year gone by while pondering what treats the New Year could bring, apart from more fishing of course.
BBC Factual has commissioned an eighth series of the award-winning and critically acclaimed Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing for BBC Two and iPlayer, it was announced today.
The popular series, produced by Owl Power, will see Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse exploring more of the UK’s beautiful countryside, enjoying more laughs, capers and candid and heartfelt chats as they continue to fish more lakes, rivers and canals across the UK.
