Busy times for Michael Sheen. He's currently on Celebrity Traitors (which of course was filmed yonks ago) and also this week he takes over from Richard Osman on House of Games. Which of course was also filmed a while back, so for all we known the star of Damned United and countless other classic TV shows and films might be sunning himself on the Maldives as I write.

And talking of great Michael Sheen roles this is not, of course, the first time he has been a quizmaster. He previously played Chris Tarrant in Quiz, the ITV drama about Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?

In this week's real life show however Sheen will be presiding over contestants Stephen Mangan, Shona McGarty, Andi Peters and Nina Wadia so no actual stand ups this week which is unusual. Last week's Champion of Champion of Champions special was won by Lucy Porter.

But Stephen Mangan is a smart cookie who is well known for his comic roles in shows such as Green Wing, while Nina Wadia will be familiar to comedy fans as one of the stars of the groundbreaking sketch show Goodness Gracious Me.

Andi Peters is famous for being in the broom cupboard on children's TV and more recently pops up on ITV doing the competitions on Good Morning Britain.

Shona McGarty played Whitney Dean in EastEnders from 2008 to 2026.

So who will get the most answers correct? And more importantly, will Michael Sheen's face now appear on the wheelie luggage prize. And what did they do with the leftover prizes with Richard Osman's face? Now that's a question I'd like answered.

House of Games, Monday, October 5 - Friday, October 9, BBC Two, 6pm.
