Dom Joly’s hidden camera prank show Trigger Happy TV is returning.

The new eight-part series will run as short five or six minute episodes on C4's  All 4, from September 26. Instead of carrying his famous oversized phone Joly will now be shouting down a ‘Big Smartphone’.

Other new sketches will include ‘Angry Cyclist’, a photobombing ‘Emoji Face’ and ‘Big Vape’.

Talking about the return, which was first reported on BTJ last May, Joly says: "Once again I was keen to use Trigger Happy to target some of the most frustrating, peculiar, prominent aspects of modern life and give them a surreal twist. I’ve watched the hidden camera industry boom since Trigger Happy TV re-invented the format back in the early 2000s, but with a few notable exceptions, I’ve found most of the genre remarkably uninspiring."

Joly can also be seen on C4 this Sunday in a celebrity edition of Bear Grylls' The Island alongside others including comedian Josie Long.
