Miles Jupp is to host a General Election special of The News Quiz on Friday 9 June at 6.30pm. The show is usually recorded on Thursday evenings, but this episode will be recorded just hours before broadcast on Friday lunchtime, allowing Jupp and the panel to be able to comment on the General Election results.

Miles Jupp said: "I'm really looking forward to the excitement of recording the show much closer to broadcast. More than that though, I'm looking forward to having a Thursday night off."
