A return date has been confirmed for the third series of The Mash Report.
Returning team members Rachel Parris and Ellie Taylor have tweeted that the new series will start on BBC2 on October 26.
Nish Kumar (pictured) will once again be fronting the show. The full line-up has not been officially announced but Freya Parker, of sketch duo Lazy Susan, will also be one of the contributors.
The Mash Report is an up to the minute, satirical news show working with comedy website The Daily Mash.
In front of a live studio audience, Kumar will analyse the week’s news stories, lampooning everything from hard news to showbiz and zeitgeist cultural phenomena.
When the show first launched Patrick Holland, Controller, BBC Two said: “I am delighted that we are announcing this new topical comedy entertainment series from Princess. It is whip-smart, hugely timely and driven by some great new talent. I'd like to thank all the teams who contributed to the different pilots. The standard was exceptionally high, but we were drawn to The Mash Report’s blend of great satire allied with the surreal. It feels really innovative.”
