The annual Musical Comedy Awards has announced an extra mini-competition which people can enter online, Crooners Against Corona.
They are calling on all musical comics to share their take on the current situation and bring some hilarity to a nation of isolated comedy fans with an original Corona-related comedy song.
Simply post a link of your song on their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/musicalcomedyawards until midnight on April 30th. Entries will then be visible on their page when you click on ‘Visitor Posts.’ For this mini competition, read their terms & conditions – only points 4-11, 15, 17, 19 and 20 apply: https://musicalcomedyawards.com/competition-terms-and-conditions/.
After entries have closed, industry judges will select their favourite song and the winner will receive a fee of £150 and the opportunity to perform their song live at the rescheduled 2020 WeGotTickets MCA Final on October 10th at the Bloomsbury theatre in London.
The Awards will also be making a donation of £150 to The Trussell Trust, who work tirelessly to combat food poverty in the UK through their nationwide network of food banks (you can also make a donation here: https://www.trusselltrust.org/make-a-donation/)
