Aberdeen Comedy Festival has claimed a successful comeback under the stewardship of Aberdeen Performing Arts with support from Aberdeen inspired. Over 16,000 tickets were issued to 40 gigs across the Granite City as comedy fans flocked to the North East for the festival’s return.
The revived festival came to a close on Sunday 5 October with Rory Bremner and Fred MacAulay in conversation at His Majesty’s Theatre for Rory Bremner’s Making an Impression.
Aberdeen Comedy Festival makes a welcome return next week with a fortnight of funny in the Granite City from Monday 22 September to Sunday 5 October. Revived by Aberdeen Performing Arts and supported by Aberdeen Inspired, the festival promises a packed line-up of leading names to rising stars, household favourites to local heroes, from stand-up to improv to tickle your funny bone.
Bridget Christie, Deirdre O'Kane and Rory Bremner are among the line-up for this year's Aberdeen Comedy Festival, which runs from Monday 22 September to Sunday 5 October 2025.
Taking place for the first time since 2022, Aberdeen Comedy Festival has been revived and revamped by Aberdeen Performing Arts who are preparing to host two weeks of the finest comedy in venues across the city.
