Asian Provocateur
Here's an interview I did with Romesh Ranganathan for the Evening Standard. Despite what he might seem like onscreen in the flesh Ranganathan is a lovely bloke and easy to chat to. Which is not to say that his perma-grumpy persona on Asian Provocateur is faked. I'm sure he has his bad days like the rest of us. Except that unlike the rest of us when he has a bad day he is very, very funny.
Comedian Romesh Ranganathan has revealed how he stripped down to his underwear for the second series of Asian Provocateur.
In the follow-up to the acclaimed first series he travels across North America with his mother Shanthi meeting relatives and exploring different cultures. At one point he had to walk through Mexican woods to find his ‘spirit animal’.
Romesh Ranganathan has confirmed that there will be a second series of his hit BBC3 series Asian Provocateur.
Posting the news on Twitter Ranganathan wrote "the game just got real: Asian Provocateur is back baby" and linked to a story announcing the news on his website.
This time, however, there is a difference. Ranganathan will be travelling around beyond Sri Lanka and will be joined by his mother Shanthi.
Rising star Romesh Ranganathan is currently involved in three different TV projects.
It was announced last week that he will be a regular guest on The Apprentice: You're Fired when Jack Dee takes over from previous host Dara O’Briain for the imminent next series.
