Barry Award
The Melbourne International Comedy Festival has announced its award winners today.
The winner of the highest prize, the prestigious Barry Award for Best Show, is Sam Campbell (pictured).
The Best Newcomer award went to Danielle Walker.
This year’s Directors’ Choice award went to Laura Frew and Michelle Brasier for their Double Denim Adventure Show.
The Barry Award nominees at this year's Melbourne International Comedy Festival have been announced.
They are Natalie Palamides, Helen Bidou (Anne Edmonds), Tim Key, Celia Pacquola, Lano & Woodley, Alex Edelman, Sam Campbell and Rose Matafeo.
American comedian Alex Edelman will be taking his new show, Just For Us to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.
The winners of this year's Barry Awards (UK) - the Edinburgh awards voted for by other comedians – have been announced. These awards, also known as the Comedians’ Choice Awards, are not to be confused with the completely separate Barry Awards handed out at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

The results of the Barry Awards have been announced today. These are awards for comedians performing in Edinburgh voted for by other comedians and comedy performers appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe. 241 votes were cast in total.
They are organised by Barry Ferns and Gareth Morinan and nothing to do with the Australian Barry Awards.
